Well, Capt., I don't need to tell you about Iraq, but there is a very excellent movie in theaters now which really tells the story of the Iraq war well and is one of the very good war movies by any standard. It is called "The War Tapes."

It is real-life film. They gave cameras to 3 guys from a unit of the Vermont National Guard Reserves, who took the film of themselves and comrades while shooting and getting shot at, relaxing, goofing around, talking to Iraquis(one of them spoke fluent Arabic) and, generally trying to figure out what the hell they were doing there. The things that happen to them, their antics, their thoughts, and the footage of their wives/Moms/GFs at home worrying about them, plus interviews with them after they get back to civilian life in the States, makes for a very absorbing and thought-provoking movie experience. No dull moments in this one.

I highly recommend "The War Tapes."
