Most places serve bottled beers from a cool box. These bottles are put in polystyrene holders (condoms) to keep them cold. Problem here is that condensation runs to bottom of holder and when you tilt the bootle all the way back the water runs out.
Draught beer is served in chilled mugs from the freezer, and its not uncommon to ask for ice.
Quite a few thais put ice in premium beers I am told.
