This is the pop up msg i got when i booked my Air Asia ticket for October 2006.


"Up to 31st January 2007 Thailand Airport Tax for International destinations is payable to the Airport Authorities in Thailand upon departure.

International departures from 01st Feb 2007 onwards, the Airport Tax will be included in the Total Amount Due payable when a booking is made via any of our booking channels. Bookings made as of 4th Sept 2006 for 01st Feb 2007 onward travel, the Airport Tax has been included in the Total Amount Due. There are no charges for the payment or collection for domestic departures as the Airport Tax has always been included in the Total Amount Due."

Before this whenever you book Air Asia tickets for Phuket, there will be a pop up telling you to pay 500 baht upon departure, now the msg changed.

I sent an email to Air Asia to clarify this, still waiting for their reply.
