I live here all year round and don't keep a large sum in the local bank.I make regular withdrawals on my Visa Card with ATMs.
All I will have to do to provide evidence that I bring in 40,000 Baht + per month is to simply print off my Visa statements.They not only show the amount but the actual ATM location and Bank Branch all of which are in Patong.
