Yes you are right about the full fare economy. Last Songkran it was 5200 for reduced economy with TG,which is OK,but its really BKKAir I prefer. Flight times are no good though  |
Is it worth 1K baht? well it depends ....
some of the flights from HKT have international biz class - flat bed seat with massage and big screen , etc and others have a full first class cabin sold a business (usually 747 flights) - go for these! (need to ask for a seat at the very front) - huge seat, room to roll around the floor etc ....
It's a chance to experience that kind of luxury for a small cost. For standard regional business class - it's not worth it, though the lounge in HKT now has beer whereas it used to be 'dry'. Also for a long wait might be worthwhile ...
