I don't think there is reason to panic. This is not a coup like in the Philipinnes.

They just want the prime-minister out. I am maybe a bit overoptimistic, but it is not about the military taking over Thailand. They want another goverment, as an important army-chief, has been fired.

Could be some weird weeks ahead, but I think everything will turn to normal, much sooner as you think.

I saw Thai people smiling in buses on the news, with army-guys heavely armed next to them. But only thinking about your vacation is a bit egocentric, I think!
