Yeah i guess i can see where you're coming from, however would it be considered work or just the bar/restaurant owner looking after his/her own place?

So if you own a bar/restaurant you wouldn't be able to do anything in it (work wise)? And if you wanted to you would have to get a work permit to work in your own place...? And of course its a restricted job so that wouldn't be possible.

I guess i assumed it ok because i've seen falang bar owners serving drinks, taking orders and talking to their customers. Although i must admit its on rare occasions only, but i've seen it happen.

If you had a work permit for a different job and owned a bar as well then could you serve drinks if you wanted to?? Might sound like a silly question but being a "third world" country maybe all they wanna see is a work permit...
