Well the funny thing is that army chief Sonthi Boonyaratglin who directed the coup against mr T have strong bonds to the popular King.He is an highly
decorate war veteran and was the first muslim ever to
be appointed as a military chief in Thailand.He has been served in the royal infantry, before he self manage many diffrent military groups,and some special train elite groups.
Before the coup had Sonthi many times been in clinch with mr T becouse of the security policy.
He has been known as a person who belives in dialogue with the rebels.
He has from time to time maked a statement on behalf of the King about the political situation in Thailand and had talks with the King on Tuesday.
