Very nice chart there, Tyfon. It speaks volumes.

Your designation of LOS as 2nd world is appropriate IMHO. In the traditional classification system, 2nd world countries were Communist countries who were not as bad off as 3rd wolrd countries, but not as well off as the industrialized 1st world countries.

In the contemporary world, there aren't enough Communist countries left to warrant them having their own classification anymore. But countries such as LOS, China, and India are actually quite industrialized now(China and India are the top 2 steel producers in the world), and most people there have electricity, running water, etc. That stands in sharp contrast to countries such as many in Africa, which are still mired in grinding poverty, and some other countries such as The Dominican Republic, where people living in villages often have no electricity or running water, and still go out in the bush to do what we call going to the bathroom, as they have no bathrooms.

On my first tour to LOS, I was really surprised by how modern it is there.
