IMHO the guy did a really good job. His idea is to seperate the writing and reading from the pronaunciation. So the leasons are reduced to the absolute basics,no grammatik and also not important what it means at the beginning..He uses also the method how they teach it in the first classes of school, like go gai = chicken.
I use the wantana software, which also works with pictures to learn the words. Very simple is imho the best way.

A good site in my opinion, and i am happy its in my mother language
