I went into a few bars on Soi 33 two years ago and it was interesting. One bar I was at the girls were all behind the bar dressed in evening gowns and there was only one other guy in the bar and he was at a table with a lady. I sat at the bar and all the girls crowded around and were talking to me from behind the bar. There must have been at least 15 of them. Very strange. I think the rule is they can't come out from behind the bar unless you buy them a drink. I felt like buying all of them a drink they looked so crowded behind the bar. Not really my cup of tea and didn't go back the next year but it is intersting and if you're the type who doesn't like the girls climbing all over you in beer bars you might like it--a lot more relaxed atmosphere.
