I heard the 3g things was being done in Thai time..
3G availablility (with international bandwidth) at a reasonable price will revolutionize connection options.. Same discussion on bali except there you dont get a phone line that works for internet, so the leapfrogging will be even more amazing.
My guess is its a bit further out though.. We dont even have EDGE equipped nets here (do in BKK though)..
