Hully, I started with 'Airline Network', as mentioned by Thai Leaner above. The full price was £427 plus about £3 for a booking fee or some other crap - I certainly got change from £430!

When I went to Thailand in March this year I flew with Etihad, and I would rate them highly. I flew from Gatwick to Abu Dhabi, and then Abu Dhabi to Bangkok. At the time of booking there would have been a 90-100 minute transfer at Abu Dhabi, but a few weeks before travel I had an email saying that there were some flight timing changes and the transfer time was now 2 hours - and would this be a problem? (huh?)

The flight timing changes were because Etihad had taken delivery of some new aircraft, and had shuffled their aircraft around. For both flights (LGW-AUH and AUH-BKK) the aircraft expected had been upgraded to something better/quicker.
Departed from Gatwick at 9am, arrived in AUH before midnight (local time); departed just after 1am, arrived in BKK just before 6.30am.

The departure/transfer lounge at AUH is nothing special, and certainly not much of a Duty Free area. It's a round building, and you can walk around it in 5 minutes! Save your money for duty-free's at BKK or for BG in Patong!

(Let me know if you want to know more)
