Smile Land of Smiles

Suay maak maak means very, very pretty.

Beach Road at night is where all kinds of rip-offs, weirdos and misfits hang out, ugly women and ugly LBs who have been thrown out of the bars, and some of whom probably have HIV and at the Sawatdirak end of the road, gays trying to hustle you or guys trying to sell their sisters to you. You get the picture.

BB, very nice ten commandments. Nice effort!!

AB, you weren't alone!!!!!!!

In Thailand, the Thai way is that if you are happy, you smile, if you are embarrassed you smile, if you are anxious, you smile, if you are upset, you smile, if you are afraid, you smile, if you are hungry, thirsty, cold, or horny, you smile, if you are drunk, you smile, if you are sober, you smile. It is the all-purpose emotional display, because it is uncool to show anger, fear, displeasure, and especially the blues. You don't have a right to bring some one else down because you feel down. That would be too rude and uncivilized, and would show weakness. So it is your obligation to society to keep on smilin'.

P.S. When your BG stops smiling, take care to be sure there are no knives or sharp objects readily available!
