Agreed, so do I, but I save those times for being on a date or something similar and trying to impress. You won't be finding me hopping into a suit and walking over to the New York Steakhouse to eat alone.

Marc, what does "best steakhouse" mean? Best quality, best ambiance, best write-up in the Post, best location? I chose it to mean best location (to NEP) and best value (price/quality). I've never had any probs with the food there. Somedays, I gorge on the "free" breakfast buffet (if you stay there then daily brekky is included in the hotel rate) and don't eat the rest of the day. Quite nice on the budget, but I don't consider myself a CC. I just wouldn't spend 4,000+ baht on a meal for two, unless I had other intentions....Impress a girl, customer, business colleague, etc... I've never had to do any of these as a tourist.

The question is just flat out too vague to answer correctly, so everybody throws out an opinion. First, he says "best", then says "good", then indicates that price is an ingrediant in his choice. I gave my vote. It's Nana Hotel restaurant for me. Just one guy's opinion though.
