I heard stories before regarding scams from taxi-meter drivers , some of them will pretend something is wrong with the engine & stop , only a small few of them are crooked though as ive never had a problem myself with bangkok taxis but i think i'll go for the slightly more expensive thai air limo (toyota car) to save any hassle
