I thought I'd start a thread where we can discuss the merits and performance of "your" team in the Premiership.
So far a couple of teams have surprised me, Portmouth and Everton.
Two have disappointed and that is Tottenham and Liverpool (sorry Ally)
Portsmouth must be credited with some great results under Harry Redknapp and although I'd be surpised to see them in this position at the end of the season, they have done very well. For me,it shows what Harry can do given a bit of money to spend.
Everton too are doing well with a pretty unchanged side from last season. Andy Johnson is a good buy and playing well.
Up top,Chelsea are much where I expected, and given the cash at their disposal it would be strange if they weren't. Shevchenko will be an asset once he has scored a few more. You can see he has class, and he is a trier.
Drogba, now he has cut out the diving ,has grown into the player he was bought for. Strong, pretty skillful and a better allround game than last year.
Man U have done really well. I expected them to struggle a bit with Horseface (not you Ally

) gone, but Saha is scoring and the defence is tight.
As for the disappointments, Spurs, I expected so much more from them. I rate the manager, but his forwards are letting Spurs down. Just how many chances do they need before they score? A big letdown for me.
Now Liverpool 5555. They are a shadow of the side that ended last season, the defence is shot, and they are finding it hard to score. Bellamy is hopeless, and like Gerrard playing out of position. What is that manager of theirs thinking!! Benitez for me is on borrowed time. Crouch?? their best forward so far,and Kuyt looks good but its not the Liverpool that everyone feared in the past.
One last team to mention, Arsenal, with the best manager in the league are not quite there, but playing attractive football and I look out for them after Chelsea for their score. I fancy a top 4 finish for them, but no title this season. That is almost a two horse race this early for me.
Comments?? Ally?? 5555
