I'm after some advice for what to do with a weekend in Bangkok. I know that this board is principally about Phuket and Patong, but I hope that some here can offer some advice.
At the start of December I'm coming to Thailand for a few weeks. My first weekend will be spent in Bangkok, arriving on Friday and departing on Monday morning to Phuket. That weekend, I'll be staying with 'my' Thai girl
who I met in Patong back in March this year (she lives in BK and was on holiday when we met). We're staying in an expensive hotel, so the luxury should be a pleasant change for her, but I'm wondering what to do during the day/evening when we're not at it like bunnies!
I've looked at various tourist websites about Bangkok, and they seem to concentrate on temples and museums - neither of which interest me! What else is there to do? I know that we could go shopping, but as she lives there I presume that she knows where to go anyway. Somebody suggested that I should take her shopping for underwear (known as a 'win-win' event
) but I'd like some other suggestions.
If all goes according to plan I'll be in the MTB during the evening of Dec 4th, so I'll let you know what we did!
