Most hotels can put you in touch with a company that runs tours. But beware of the ones that have a buffet on board. Last time we did that you could not get near the buffet because of a crowd of Indian ladies who sole purpose in life seemed to empty the table as soon as possible. Not much choice was left after they had been there.
The menus vary dependant on what you pay, but you can be sure to be paying anywhere between 50 and 100% more than you will pay on land.
If you are thinking it will be something romantic (like Paris) you may be more than a little bit disappointed.
Just have a meal overlooking the river, you will have more choice and with the money you will save, hire a longboat and cruise the river afterwards.

so whats the best place to have dinner overlooking the river?
i've been recommended to go see sleeping budha which also requires me to take a boat...are we talking about the same place?
