You nearly made a grown man cry with your nice comments in the previous post! ha ha
It was actually very nice for people to say they like to listen to my stories, but if the truth be known, there is nobody out there who likes this forum better than me.
Some amazing, incredible and unbelievable things have happened to me since I started going to LOS, and I swear down, not once have I made a story up or bent the truth, and thats what messes with my head
I like to share my experiences with other people who know what Thailand is like. You can try to explain to your friends. They might smile and say it sounds great, BUT THEY DONT HAVE A CLUE as to what it is really like arriving in Thailand and doing the things we have done. WE DO. When you tell a story about how you had a great night in Tiger and then sat half drunk on the back of a scooter while some Thai beauty drove you back to your hotel, with a warm breeze and her long, silky black hair wafting in your face and then nearly shagged you to death, WE KNOW what its like!
What I actually like more than telling my stories, is reading about what other people have done.
There is over 200 members on this forum now, and I see peoples names logged in and they dont write much, which is a shame.
The stories dont have to be anything fantastic or bizzarre like a couple of mine have been.
Even a couple of lines to say what you like best about Patong, or your favourite foods, or a picture of your hotel.
Only today, Djaust put about 6 or 7 photos of Patong on the board. It was great, because for a short time, I was back there. His photo of the hills with the mist on them was fantastic. I have stood in the street and looked at that many times thinking how beautiful it looked.
The photos of rain soaked Bangla Road with giant puddles.
Erik the Viking in flowery shirts, pictures of trays of grasshoppers or even a normal red tuk tuk.
Whatever you have done or seen, put it on and get involved.
I have had great fun reading and writing things on this board. Lets keep it going.
