Last year in Patong, I stayed with only one girl. She spoke up, asked 2000, and we settled at 1500. Since she came to my hotel every night at 10, and never asked me to pay her BF, that seemed quite fair, since I avoided the BF, and all the ladydrinks for her "sisters," bartenders, and friends at her bar.
In the future, I plan to stick to the "don't ask, don't tell" system. If they want more, then they can ask for it, as I suspect most of them will. If they don't ask, and are dissatisfied in the morning with what they are given, then I can always give them more then, or negotiate in arrears.
If a girl accepts 1000 or 1200 with a smile and a wai, then I will be disposed to think more highly of her, and will be more inclined to patronize her business in the future. If she is a whiner, and a b*tch, then it is good that I find that out, and she certainly will get no more of my business.
