If that is the case, then its cheaper to book a hotel for 1 night at the same time as your flight ticket.
By doing that, it was cheaper for me not to stay in the hotel, than buying a flight only ticket

Quite honestly, if you are that worried about missing a connection, maybe its better to just get a Malaysian Airlines flight direct to KL from London
