Ok...well its all a matter of how you want to see things...Yes I would agree some of the girls do go home for the holiday, but plenty of girls are around..always always..

Hotels...book early is a good idea and I totally disagree that songkran is either slow or non fun...number one the water day is really only a day of hardcore action...can be avoided no problems if your a bit conservative..day time action is great fun...staying indoors at night is solid advice if you wish to stay dry....join in the fun and don't sweat the small stuff.

Songkran the thai way is no problem, the only people who tend to bastardize it is the farrang.

Plus side is lots of bm's around so you get a chance to met a lot of people from the board....great fun to be had, just purchase your water cannon early or bring your own from home
