lots of those people have never been anywhere else. Their idea of a good time is a little slice of America with a dash of the tropics thrown in. They want to be able to have their meal on time, play golf all day, and generally have no interest in seiing another countries culture.
Only 27% of US citizens have passports so where else are they going to go. They have no other experiences to compare Hawaii to.

You must have had a really bad experience in Hawaii....or didn't get laid maybe?? LOL
Anyways, I have been to Hawaii and it was one of my favorite holidays. Beautiful beaches, loads of things to do, international vacationers and an amazing history. I would go back there in a heart beat. Each of the main islands have their own character and a unique landscape.
I would recommend anyone to go there. Most people that go to Hawaii end up going over and over again. Much like LOS. Once it's in your blood it's hard to get out.
I think Seafox is the only one I have ever heard report a negative experience. The only thing I can agree with there is that the weather can be very unpredicatable. Rain and cool temperatures can blow in one day and stay for a week or they can blow out followed by blue skies and a warm sun>
Either way give Hawaii another shot.... you won't be disappointed!
Cheers,
Ashley
