Welcome to the board,
June/juli is perfect for Samui. It's rainy saison in Thailand, but Samui is the place where you have a big chance of nice and sunny weather. When you have already a girlfriend...... check out Nangyuan Island near koh Tao (for real romance). You can go there on a regular snorkling excursion and tell them to pick you up the next day.
