I (nearly) always give a tip when I think its deserved, or maybe expected. Generally its 20 - 40bt when I pay a bar bill or for food. But have noticed on this trip some bars or restaraunts taking anything up to 100bt as a tip with out asking. Dragon and some other a-go-go's placing 2 10baht coins under the skin of the money thinghy. So you end up giving more money than you think. Though they haven't tried this since I caught them a couple of times.

But I think if you want to give 1000bt, than give 1000bt. Its your money.

(P.S. Its not me with the 200bt budget!)

Simon, they tried that one me that night I went there with you & Hobbsy.

3x Island Teas @ 180b=540b 600 given & looking at change folder only seen 2x20b notes, but then noticed 2x 10b coins hidden in flap.

Hobbsy seen me pull out the notes & pocket them & thought I was a cheap charlie for not givin em a tip till I explained to him bout the hidden coins.
