I took a tuk tuk from Bangla and he crossed rat-u-thit and into sansabai and then the new road to sai nam yen. Instead of driving a lap around Patong. I was charged 200 baht, strange as the new ride was not any longer than before.
But I agree with Easyrider, walking on Sansabai is not so easy anymore with the added traffic and triple layers of motorbikes late nights.
I park at the back of sansabai for 10 baht now every day, that parking lot also got pretty full now.
But another reason is that there is a lot more traffic in general these days, afternoon always have queues when you want drive out from Patong if you come from Sai Nam Yen/Phisitkoranee road. Can be 100+ meters queue, which I never saw before.
