and get it all in writing. Don't take their word for it. I am not familiar with European travel insurance but here in the US you have to be very careful of what they do and do not cover. Just had a friend who had to cancel a trip, expected to be covered because it was a medical problem that forced her to cancel, and then they did not reimburse her, claiming that her medical problem was a pre existing condition.
