If you were heading out full-time then 30Kgs isn't going to cut it and special rates can be achieved with a bit of emailing to the relevent airline etc BUT.........for 2-3 weeks stick to the airlines that offer the 30Kgs (If you need all that!) and just give BA the finger.

It is not unusual for me to travel home with 80+ kg when visiting Asia/Thailand. Over a couple of trips I have brought home Royal Thai dinner ware to 18 people (6 pc per setting , plus extras). I take advantage of the liberal rules flying to the US. One time me and my ex had nearly 200 kg (incl cabin luggage)
