There are both.. The cheapest HD-DVD solution tho would be to use the HD-DVD drive for the xbox 360 either with an xbox or with the XP or vista drivers.. Then it can be used with PowerDVD ultra thats floating around.
A PS3 obviously has a blu ray drive built in but I have been reading the new Sony BDP-S1 is about the best Blu Ray performer out there..
I would rather stay that little bit behind the bleeding edge as stuff is hard to get here and the prie difference between that and mainstream use is significant enough..
