Cathay is a great airline operating from a great airport. My only complaint about CX is their seats in business class don't fully recline flat - I fot more sleep in economy flying SFO-HKG than I did in business on HKG-YVR, but evering else is fine.
Yes Hong Kong is more expensive than LOS - I use a rule of same number of HKD as THB. In LOS its 60 baht in Hong Kong its 60 Hong Kong Dollars - the exchange rate is 1 HKD = 4.5 THB.
HK Disneyland is OK for a day, just avoid the Chinese Golden Week Holidays, where it gets packed to the rafters, and the parents throw their children over the fence
