Firm mattress ok but as I have a bad back rock no good - no point in staying anywhere where you can't sleep - you are better to move. I expect cheap rooms to be basic, but functional. Never been to Kansas and I only use the name Dorothy at weekends but your point is wrong - 1000Bt at Nine Ten is not cheap. There are rooms avalible for 500Bt so I would expect a 1000Bt room to be a lot better. This is half the price I can get a hotel back home for so in a poor country I would expect quite a lot for this price.
The Ferb proves this is right - after just having my first night there I can say it's great. Food was fantastic and fair value - beer good price, service very good.

Good report there metter, and thanks for the recommendation, ferb guesthouse sounds good, mite give it try the next time Im in Phuket.
Ive havent been to kansas either......to windy for me.
