I think you'll enjoy the area and it is only a stones throw from Bangla. I'll be in BKK (got to organise a visa to Oz for the GF) on 18th but if you are at a loose end I'll be back in Patong without GF on 21st and happy to have a beer or two with you at the Black Crab.
