Info on golf and ratings
I've now golfed all the courses and here's my ratings.
#1 Blue canyon canyon course
#2 Blue canyon lakes course
#3 Phuket Country Club some greens are tough.
#4 Loch Palm, they have carts!
#5 Banyan Tree even though I find it the easiest.
You cannot bring a BG to caddie even though I think you are kidding. The caddies work very hard and you would be putting one out of work. Also I have found BG don't work very hard in terms of lugging glof clubs etc. The thought of working 9 hours in a restaurant for 6,000 baht to them is not imagineable. They all seem to me to want to sleep late, eat around 4:00pm, do a little shopping, then go to the bar. I know it's a generalization but I've seen this quite a bit.
#304 on PCC is very cute ask for her. Not much of a caddie but very easy on the eyes.
Many holes have water all around and usually the rental clubs are ok but not great. Tip your caddie at the end of the round 300-500 baht depending on how good they were. (Did they tell you the green break without asking, did they tell you there is water 250 yards in front so don't use a driver?)
The 9 hole at PCC is probably one of the toughest 9 holes on the island and this comes from Jeff the pro at Blue Canyon.
Drink lots of water on the course and make sure you have an umbrella with you as well as many times it will rain intensley then stop.
Hope this answers some questions.
