Anyone?

Pork noodle soup is guay teeowl mu. I asked about the yellow noodles the other day. The vendor told me, "Sen luang." It might be more correct to say "Sen sii luang." Sii luang means literally "color yellow," which is the proper way to say yellow, but he just said "sen luang," and left out the sii, so I guess that's OK.

BTW, the correct way to say pork noodle soup is guay teeowl nam mu, but when I used to ask for that, I got a lot of funny looks, and some people couldn't figure out what I wanted. Guay teeowl mu actually means pork noodles, and guay teeowl nam mu means pork noodle soup, but, as is often the case in Thailand, the normal way to say something is different from the textbook way.

P.S. I love the yellow noodles, but have you tried the green ones. They are great. I think they are called, "Sen sii kheeowl," or just "Sen kheeowl."
