Yea i have an allergy to cold or had. I also have allergy to cats and dogs which bothers me close to nothing but having an allergy to your country's weather, well that is something to be annoyed about.

Luckily it grew away as i got older, i believe i got it around 15 or so and now its almost gone, i mean i can still notice it but not at all to the same degree as before. Before i got this crap i used to Snowboard every winter, and i actually enjoyed the Swedish winters more then the summers.

Now i hate everything about snow, and cold weather.

But even so, the biggest difference is the feeling of being wealthy in Thailand. I mean im not walking around throwing money around me while in Thailand but atleast i dont feel that i need to keep a constant eye on my spendings.

If i were to have a Swedish income and live in Thailand i would probably never go back to Sweden again. Sure i would miss my family and friends, but they could come and visit.

Now if i was wealthy by western standards then perhaps it would be different then i could move to some other country with a more enjoyable climate. But Sweden would be very far down on my list of prefered country's to live in.

Well atleast i got the gf i want, perhaps when things are better we can move to her country instead.

Yea im done whining now.. Man this probably sounds pathetic, i dont give a shit though
Jim,
With the exception of understanding you climatic allergies I totally hear where you are coming from. When I was a year or two younger than you I was fed up with taxes and politics in Denmark. That did not mean that I had any dislikes for the country or my heritage, quite to the contrary. But still, I had to get out. It took about a year before the right opportunity came about; actually two came at the same time. One to work for a Danish firm in the medical business in USA and another to work for Bang & Olufsen in Australia. I chose USA because it would be easier to go home for a visit. Initially I left for 2 years as a test and rest is history.

If you are truly miserable where you are at, make it a point to try something else. At 24 you can afford to side-track for a year or two. Maybe you will find comfort someplace else or maybe you will get homesick. Whatever you do focus on two things. 1. Make a happy life for yourself. 2. Make sure you don't ignore you financial responsibilities to yourself.
