The usual advice is not to take candy to the sweet shop. You will certainly be spoiled for choice and you'd save a lot of money by not taking her.
I would take a girl on a trip away from the entertainment areas, not to them.
If you didn't find anybody to match her you could always go back, with the money you'd saved, and no harm done for her to lose face.
