That will be great news for people wanting a few days down in Songkhla.It used to be a great place for a few days away on border runs.Also the Pink Lady complex in Hat Yai is a good hang out.
ATM - it is not like you to be so negative.The south can still be a good place.
You can also get a taxi from Hat Yai airport to Penang which only takes 3 hours and last time I did it cost 1700 Baht one way.
