I have not taken the direct ride in a Meter Taxi, however, last time I went from the old airport to Sukhumvit at 300 baht including airport fee, tolls and tip. I went from Sukhumvit to the new airport at 250 baht including extras.

The more direct route could not possibly cost more. For reference, I asked the drive what the estimated cost was from old to new airport and he said under 500.
