You need..
Passport copy
Visa page copy..
TM7 copy..
Proof of address from immigration (only given in Phuket town a couple of months ago)..
You need the same (minus proof of address) from the seller if farang, or Thai ID card if Thai. As ever with Thai documents each page has to be signed by the person whose docs it is a copy of.
Plus the bikes green book.
You also need to have a sales transfer form signed by the seller and if the seller doesnt come with you Phuket town dept of motor vehicles then you also need a power of attorney form signed to say it can be done without thier attendance. Filled in in full with thier and your details (need a Thai reader)..
You go and do most form filling, then have to take bike for inspection (only pencil rub chassis numbers) then deposit all and books back with previous desk..
Next day (or is it 3 days ??) come back to collect book in your name.
If any of the visa's are out of date.. Or the seller isnt there to give ID etc it can result in a no transfer situation and the bike in that case becomes half price.. I know loads of guys riding round on bikes that cant move names cos the farang has left and no recent valid visa can be shown.
