I'm American. I talk to my friends who go to LOS. They think that I am crazy when I say that I don't like to pay over 1000 Baht for LT. They say to me that "you get what you pay for". By this they mean that for a good-lookin girl they expect to pay 2000. They say fine if you want average-looking, pay 1000, but you waste your time trying to get the pretty ones for 1000.

They feel that 2000 Baht is a good deal for LT with pretty girl. They don't want to be accused by the girl of being a cheapskate, and don't like the unpleasantness of trying to talk her down from her asking price.

It is not that Americans have more money. Look at the Euro. It is worth much more, not the dollar. The dollar is worth less than it was on my first tour in 2002. Nor do Amercans make more money. Wages are lower in the US than in Western Europe. Not to mention the fact that we have to buy our own healthcare also.

I think at the bottom of it is the fact that In America, prostitution is illegal and not accepted, therefore the whole sex trade is very dangerous, sleazy and/or and expensive. You have to be almost desparate to go to a prostitute here, because it is not even fun, and costs so much and you could get thrown in jail.

I read an article last week that in the nearby city of Oakland, there were two hundred arrests for men soliciting prostitutes, and most of them had there cars confiscated also. If you approach a ****** on the street, and it turns out that she is a policewoman, then you are arrested. They take your car and don't give it back. They have auctions every month of all the cars that get confiscated. This is what we are up against here.

The only other option is to call an escort service or FL escort from the newspaper. Then the risk is not as great, but the price is $300 to $400 per hour on average, $2500 to $3000 for a night.

That is why to pay $50 for a nice girl who will treat you good, is fun(U.S. ******s are mostly not fun, strictly business), and parties, goes places with you, etc. That kind of treatment is impossible to get here except for the superwealthy, i.e,, billionaires.
