I always called them stamps without a visa... or a 30 day stamp on arrival before... Visas are legal documents that are placed in passports giving you certain rights within a country to move around, or not move around. If you don't have a legal document placed in tour passport by the Thai embassy from wherever you are, then you don't have a visa, so why use the term????
