AK47 is a good defender, I guess I just can't see him shut down the superstars like Bruce Bowen can. I'm a huge fan of these self-less defenders who don't care about their stats or anything but just helping their team to win. A while ago, Kobe said the guy that defends him the best was none other than Bowen, which is saying something as Kobe is probably the best scorer in the league right now. Of course, "limiting" Kobe would be to keep him under 30pts!

Ak47 isn't happy with his offense right now because Sloan isn't running any plays for him. I just wish he'd concentrate on his defense only and let the offense come to him, instead of begging for plays. The Jazz would be so much better if Kirilenko focused on his defense.

Anyways, I'd love to continue to discuss pro ball with you as I'm a huge fan of the NBA, since the days of MJ. My team was and still is the Houston Rockets, since Hakeem won back to back 94-95. Hakeem is my all-time fave player. Dream shake!!
I just wish Yao Ming would take some lessons from Hakeem and develop a real post game instead of taking those dumb fadeaways!

Hakeem is arguably the best center to ever play the game. He had the complete game!! But you might get a few arguments from Lakers and Celtic fans re Kareem, Russell, and Chamberlain. But, no question, Hakeem was the top guy in his era. Nobody in the game now can compare, and we really haven't seen anybody close to him since he hung it up.

As for Kirilenko, you are probably right. But then Bruce Bowen is the best defender in the league, and has been for many years. And I based my assessement of Kirilenko on 2 games in which he was spectacular with 13 blocks. He didn't look so good when Baron jammed in his face tonight, but then that was more on Baron than against Kirilenko, if you are fair about it.
