I can kinda confirm what Dodger said about the licence. I got pulled over with my scooter once, only had a Belgian drivers licence. On the front it says "drivers licence" in the most common euro languages, has my picture on it, but the rest of the document is completely in Dutch. The police officer was actully pretending to read it nodding approvingly
, and sent me on my way again...
Wearing a crash helmet is a must do, I've seen many falangs and thais being pulleded over for that. However I understood that a passenger on a bike does not need to wear a helmet (correct me if i'm wrong?), go figure...
