I always left my valuables and cards as well as most of the cash in the safe and only took out the money I though I would need for the night plus a little extra for "emergencies". Worked perfect for me. Last few days, I gave some cash to my TG, so she could buy some snacks, water or fruit when we felt like it. She always used it sensibly.
