i drink far more in thailand than i do in oz, and have set a start time and finish time for drinking, very rarely in town mostly at the house.

I am the exact opposite.. I almost never drink at home.. only exceptions are when I have come home and its not enough, or I am having a social BBQ and mates are round.. One in a blue moon I may pop a bottle of wine or bubbly if the mood takes me but I never really drink beer or spirits at home.
