I think boxing pros, in general, are starting to figure out how to maximize their career earnings rather than do it for the love of the game and desire to compete. Or, maybe they realize in any given fight that they can't win and just give up. Neither are the sign of a true champion, but maybe that word is overrated at the moment in boxing. I hope it is not a trend.

Hatton... hats off to him. He's the kind of guy that I think comes from the old school and will fight until he's got nothing in the tank or just plain loses. He's a throwback to the old days and refreshing to watch IMHO, but so far he's not been in any real trouble... Mayweather maybe???

Tanman, sport is ruined the world over by money. The soccer(football) players in Europe are earning £100000+ per week. There is no 'heart' at all in todays game...I used to be a fan of soccer but the last few years ive gone right off it. Players throwing themselves on the ground and calling foul at every opportunity incase they break a nail or a hair goes out of place 5555

In Ireland our national sport is hurling. Its arguably the fastest and oldest field game in europe. I love it!! An amateur sport where the guys train for 6-7 evenings a week and don't get paid (maybe they get a cushy job but that's it). These guys have 'heart' by the bucket load. 80000+ attendances for an amateur sport aint bad.....
