A point of interest for those wanting to book Tiger out of Australia.
Tried to book on the internet on 10-6-07 and my Visa card was not accepted( SHOCK, HORROR!!!!). Rang Visa and they told me that they had put a Merchant Block on Tiger Airways!!!! I told them of my problem of booking that day to get a special price and they lifted the ban for 30 minutes so that I could book. All OK after that, flight confirmation, payment confirmation etc.
Friday 22-6-07, I get a letter from Visa telling me my card is block due to dodgy purchases!!!!!
I rang them again (24-6-07), and they tell me that the letter was sent automatically when my card was refused, but reinstated as soon as I rang them the first time!!!
If anyone has problems booking Tiger with a Visa card, that is probably the reason!!!!
A bit suprising for Tiger to be considered dodgy as it is part of Singapore Airlines!!!!
