I think due to Thais being Budhist and Philippina's being Catholic the latter are more used to our Western way of thinking and morality. But at the end, it all comes down to how a man and a woman understand and accept each other.
I suppose that as Philippina's are very Catholic it is more difficult for them to change partner, as it is a no no in the Bible. Thais don't have the same way of handling, and will base their decision on other factors.
