Divorce is the easy part it is just a matter of filling out the right forms and both parties signing. I did the paperwork. The other side is the property settlement which is more like negotiating a business deal. If the deal does not go well you end up in court fighting it with lawyers at ten paces. I was lucky settled out of court but still cost plenty in legal fees for a few bits of paper and some phone calls. I hate lawyers and I have to converse with them on an almost daily basis.
What may not have started out as a business deal sadly usually ends as one.
